All-Black Vogue Hits Magazine Shelves... in Italy
The highly anticipated "Black" Issue of Vogue Italia is out this month. The magazine's editor says the decision to use models of African-descent for this special edition was influenced by a protest group of models claiming racial discrimination in New York, as well as by Barack Obama’s success in America's presidential race.
This issue will feature images of black women taken by photographer Steven Meisel. Naomi Campbell, Iman, Tyra Banks, Liya Kebede, Jourdan Dunn, Alek Wek and Pat Cleveland and full-figured model Tocarra Jones are among the fashion icons found in the black edition.

Have you ever gotten help from someone you never expected to have your back? Well, to some people, this is kind of like that. But maybe it shouldn't be. Actress Ashley Judd is putting out a new plus-size clothing line. To put things in perspective Judd already has a clothing line at Goody's Family Clothing. "Ashley Judd Plus" will be similar to her current organic clothing, but for the full-figured woman … like Ashley's sister, singer Wynonna Judd.
Even more good news-- a portion of the sales from Ashley Judd’s collections will benefit Goody’s Good Deeds for Good Schools program.
Fashionista of the Day: Trudi-Ann Herdsman
Women around the world are getting the message that beauty comes in all sizes. Today we're celebrating Trudi-Ann Herdsman, an entrepreneur making waves in Jamaica. Herdsman's clothing store "Kurvity" has been open for just half a year in the town of Saint Andrew. But it is already a hit with scores of full-figure women who had been waiting for someone to fill the void. 
Kurvity caters exclusively to plus-size women with designers that previously could only be found abroad. Now, women who wear sizes 10 through 32 can choose from designers like Monif C, AbbyZ, Blue Plate Fashion and Kiyonna.
