So, Beth Ditto: Yay or Nay?

For years, Beth Ditto was known as the lead singer of the indie rock band The Gossip. But these days she's getting even more attention as a full-figure clothing designer for Evans and an international darling of the industry. As you'll see she brings her unique sense of punk and indie design to all of her pieces. Her new collection was released last month and since then the internet has been absolutely ABLAZE with commentary from people who fiercely love the line or despise it. So now we want to know love to know what Brickhouse readers think! Take a look at some of the pieces that we think represent Ditto's line and give us your opinion. (Just a warning: the 80s are back.)

See more of Beth Ditto's line at BethDittoAtEvans.co.uk - but not before you let us know what you think!

hmmm...love the second dress and the leggings...not so thrilled about the others. But I have seen a lot more of her work than just these pieces, and all in all I LOVE her to pieces!

Hi, Ella!
Love having your opinion on this. I'm so stuck in the middle because the Beth Ditto clothing that I like, I REALLY like. Her other stuff... not so much. lol. Thanks for dropping in! :)

I have to admit I don't love it. It works on Beth Ditto, but for the average woman who doesn't live on a stage it's a different story.

Hey Mightay! It's totally ok to admire (and desire) some of a designers body of work, while totally hating the rest of it! IMO, a good designer has many sides to their personality, and designs for every side...so every piece can't possibly appeal to the same person. Ya know?

I really like the the black sweater, but I think maybe the line was designed for people who were born in the 80's not grew up in the 80's. I've seen a bunch of this kind of clothing on teenagers and think that it is nice that someone is making the trendy things for plus sized teens. I don't know exactly the age range that the line is marketed toward but I'm thirty-one and I just don't think it was for meant for women my demographic.

I am definitely divided on Ditto's clothing line. Some pieces I absolutely love (domino dress, leather jacket) and others I definitely hate (tights, jumpsuit, shoes). I'm wondering if there will be another season for this line. I haven't heard anything.

I'm many years out of the target demo (in my 40s), so I probably would have to say no. I've seen younger bloggers feature this line.

But I will say this: Evans, Dorothy Perkins and the like need to establish stores in the U.S.
